Courtney F. Morgan
Probate Attorney

Courtney is a native of Austin, Texas but chose to begin her legal career in small-town Georgia, where she could gain immediate courtroom experience and take on meaningful litigation from the outset, before relocating to Atlanta to continue serving clients in complex probate matters.
Before attending Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, one of the nation’s leading law schools, Courtney dedicated her time teaching sixth-grade mathematics at a low-socioeconomic public middle school in her hometown, fostering a dedication to public service.
Once in law school, she interned with Legal Aid South Africa in Durban, South Africa, where she gained exposure to multiple areas of law, all defined by a client-focused practice. This experience shaped her approach, viewing each case not merely as a file or legal issue, but as a pivotal moment in a person’s life.
Following law school, Courtney’s desire to help people led her to a small Georgia town, where she zealously advocated for her clients in nearly 50 trials and grew into a skilled litigator. Her legal expertise was recognized when the Supreme Court of Georgia quoted her in-trial arguments in their landmark ruling, Reese v. State, 314 Ga. 871 (2022).
Today, Courtney is honored to serve clients at Georgia Probate Law Group with professionalism and compassion as they manage the loss of a loved one and the complexities of estate administration. Drawing on her extensive courtroom experience, she approaches each matter strategically and creatively, unafraid to litigate when necessary to achieve her clients’ goals.
Outside of her legal practice, Courtney is a devoted wife and mother of two. She is active in her community through local volunteerism and her longtime involvement with the Humane Society, fostering the occasional litter of kittens at the mild dismay of her two wonderful dogs.
